Regarding potential turbo kit

juss wanted everyone to be aware

I dont consider it a BOLT ON turbo kit. So dont expect that cause youll soon find out you gotta modify this and that. Also i wouldnt consider it a reliable as factory setup. With anything like this you gotta remember your kinda a test pig, even if the kit has been tested. There WILL be some driveability or other issues. You might start breaking things, findin your stock brakes inadequate, maybe overheating, the list can go on. like everyone says, you gotta pay to play. I can come up with a pretty long list of possible probs and fitment issues.
also not to discourage the automatic guys, i think doing an auto trans Max makes it 2-3 times harder. and then lastly, its easier to blow up your motor on a turbo then on a supercharger. Why? from stupidy or greed of users..(no offense to anyone)

Do i sound negative? yes, mainly because people want a reliable kit for 3k...it aint gonna happen! Check out some Revhard turbo kits avalible for Honda motors. around 3100 with intercooler option. This is a 4cyl kit which is easier then a V6 too. I do belive a NON intercooled cheap turbo setup can be had for 3k.

who cares.. if he wants to bust his butt trying to develop a kit for 3k let him do it.. no need to discourage him negatively..

no one signed a contract and no one says by law that he HAS to deliver.. the guy wants to attempt to make a kit for 3k .. let him do it.. if he can't .. big effing deal.. he can't.. no need to keep piping it down his mouth that it won't happend..

we all know you spent hard work making your custom kit work.. and you deserve the recognition and hard work you put into it. you were the first and we respect that. Now let this guy try and do it again. if he can't do it for 3k .. he can't do it for 3k.. if you want to say I told you so.. do it after.. but let the man try..

Enough of the negative BS.. just sit back and watch.. jeez

hehe your rite Sprint. i actually didnt mean these posts to the guy developing it. Its always good to see others willing to make performance products for the Max. What was realy buggin me was how many people think 3k is too expensive already and expect good reliable kit. I guess i word it wrong. we'll see what happens. even if he decided to bring the price to around 4k i think thats not too bad of a price.

4K for a turbo kit with IC sounds nice to me, even a little more if its reliable and no fitament problems. Some people just arent willing to pay for quality.

hehe, good ol' maxima owners.

anywhere from $4000 to $5000 is a good price to me. Whether or not people will pay for it is up in the air. Just to have a turbo option would be nice.

dont wnana jinx it but with differences in auto/manual trans and possibly slight variations in 95-97 front bumper changes most likely there would be at least slight fitment probs. 4k with intercooler is still a good price!

instead of offering only a single turbo why not go for twins..
wouldnt that solve the unequal lengths of the exhaust mani's but will also bump prices?

I am pretty sure lots of people would be willing to pay top dollar for a turbo kit that was somewhat reliable, look at what AA is charging for turbo kits on bmw's, like $7k.

Those are premium cars though, this is a relatively inexpensive car. I think there's a small market for a kit like that, but much bigger if the price can be kept down. Maxima owners are cheap after all...

If you wanna play you gotta pay, either high costs for a reliable kit or lots of money for fixing **** that will keep breaking. Which would you rather do?
