blehmco stage 1 ltb install problems

ok, so i received my stage 1 in the mail today, after feeling all giddy about installing them, i get under the car and notice almost immediately that there is a couple issues..... the first being that it is not clearing my cattman headers and the second that the nuts that are on the car from factory have a washer built into the nut itself. anybody put it on with the cattman headers and run into the header problem? how about the nut situation anyone know if discount auto will carry the 27mm nut???

i think it's a known problem with stage 1 not clearing headers. I think you should ask DaveVQ. He has a solution but it involves a lil bit of modding.

I spoke with Pam at Blehmco two days ago regarding this issue and the stages I and II LTB will not clear the Cattman/Hotshot headers. On the flipside of that coin, Blehmco is in the process of creating a new and improved LTB which will clear them. However, no word on the release date.

Please let me know if you find a write-up on this.

Thanks

Dealer or junkyard would be my best guess.

you could also do what I did....use a bench grinder to grind off the "washer" part of the bolt to make it standard-sized. I did this several times and it works fine.
