check out my new B&M

installed yesterday took about 2 hours, should've took pictures during the install but didn't have time to do that. It's sooo much better than stock, I recommend to everyone. here's some pics, a little dirty inside, hadn't had time to clean.

Google for it, you'll find it.

OP: Check your shifter bushing, if it's still the OE unit it's probably pretty torn up. Replace it with a new OEM part or a polyurethane replacement and it'll help out the shifting feel quite a bit.

These will fit up to an 01. Does anyone know if there is a short shifter available for an 02??

There are short throw kits, but you can DIY it for free. Did you search this at all?

What exactly is the prupose? Does it shorten the distance between gears, like the distance between going from 1st and dropping into 2nd or 3rd into 4th? Or is it simply the height of the shifter? Been thinking of doing this when the remodeling is finished on the house and finally get some freetime, but was wanting to know the benefits first.

Both, in this case.

If you don't know what a short shifter is or does, I'd advise just googling it: http://www.twmperformance.com/short-shifter.html

I got mine from here, it was the cheapest I found anywhere for the B&M, with shipping for me it was $160, other sites i've seen them on would start at about $160-$190 without shipping cost.

As long as you secure the bolt and nut well, there's nothing to worry about.

Apparently both Stillen and Cattman also had the short throw adapters, have you contacted Brian?

Looks great. I have the same one and love it. I would get a poly urethane shifter bushing for an even better feel.
