Larger tire size/new tires...need help!

I have a 97 SE with factory size 215/55/16 tires on it. I am considering going to 225/55/16 for increased handling. Has anyone else upgraded to the newer size? If so, did you have an issues with them fitting on the rim or any problems with them rubbing?

Thanks, also if anyone has any suggestions on either H or V rated tires, I would love to get some feedback. I have looked at so many and am not sure what to get at this point. I have Yokohama AVID V 4s and am considering H rated Bridgestone RE950s.

Thanks in advance

225 will be fine but i would recommend getting a 50 or 45 sidewall instead of 55. you will look like u have bus tires if you dont...and yes, lower the car too. handling will not increas much by adding wider tires but lowering the car and wider rims will work wonders. but what do i know? i drive a 82 maxima!

When you change your sidewall height, your speedo will be off, make sure you compensate for that when you're driving.
