My failed attempt on murdering out my roof trim
My failed attempt on murdering out my roof trim
Frak!!! This experiment came within 2mm of success. The idea came to me when I was masking and painting my rims. I noticed that the roll of electrical tape I had in my tool box was about the same width of the roof trim. I know some of us are having issues with the trim with fading and discoloration. I also remember someone mentioning painting the trim. Well, this is my take on the solution/idea.
Close but no cigar. I just did one side to see how it would look like. As you can see the tape was not wide enough. If anyone know of a wider tape holla back at me so I can make this work. Oh well, back to the chrome.

Painting my rims drained me. I think I inhaled too much paint fumes
I was quite surprise how good the tape looked. It was my version of a vinyl overlay. I'll stick with the chrome trim for now.
