My car will not start
My car will not start
- I didn't use my Maxima for five days but today when i want to use it, it would not start
. The entirer light and stero would turn on but my car would not start, could this be the alternator. I was finally able to start it by using jumper cables. Can somebody give me hints to what the problem could be.
well if you left it in the cold and havnt cranked it in 5 days...the battery must of just drained out.
remember the cold is a and enemy of batteries. so is excessive heat i believe.
the battery might have just drained. After all it has been five days.
if its not cold where you are...then the battery might just be weak and old....
wont be able to tell if its the alternator unless u test it out...

did it try to start or just do absolutely no noises when you turned the key? my '92 does that sometimes, and the first time i called AMA and they came over and he said my battery was fine. put it into neutral, and rocked the car back and forth 5 times and it started. said it was something with some wires and unless it happens alot dont bother getting it fixed. happened to me the first time last june or july, and today was the first time it did it again. rocked it and it started
It been cold on the East Coast for a while. Just drive the car around and see if it recharges the battery. That happened to me, I brought a new battery and no more problems.
