New Best Time tonight, and congrats to Dru!
I ran a 15.0153 at 92.57mph!!!! 2.2940 60s!
Almost broke 14s! Damn!
Car setup: 45psi rear tires, 22 front. Full tank of gas, floor mats out and spare and jack. (left jack at track )
But we were in the Import finals, and it was just 2 maximas, 2 wrx's, 1 civic, 1 crx, 1 truck, 1 RSX-S.
I ran the RSX-S the 1st run, and I screwed up in the bracket. I spun off the line and had no traction (only run of the night I lanched too hard!!! ). 15.6 broke out. I had dialed in 15.1. But I still beat the RSX! heheheh. Dru, 4th gen Houston owner, he won 1st place and ran against a low 14sec WRX that goofed up off the line!!! He ran a best of 15.06 something. Anyways, awesome runs!! His picture will be up on there homepage (drag strip homepage) soon with his BIG 4-5 ft trophy next to him.

One thing though... full tank? That is crazy! If you had about 1/8 you probably could have run a 14.9-14.8.
Practice is always key.

Darn it...I was sure you'll hit 14s this time. Oh well, very close. Better luck next time?
Full tank, huh? Well, there you go. If you ran with 1/4 tank left, you should hit 14s for sure.

what does break out mean?....
russ mentioned in his post that he did a 15.6 broke out, and i was watching the blues vid when he did the 14.3, and he also mentioned breaking out, what is that? i've never been to the track, so i have no clue. also, what are the rules at tracks(assuming the rules are the same everywhere), i wouldn't wanna go and make an *** out of myself.

I broke out because I didn't win, the RSX got the green light.

break out is when you go faster than you say you will. i dont think russ broke out because he dialed in a 15.2. for example.... i think my maxima car do the 1/4m in 16.0 secs. so my dial in would be 16.0s. if i do better then a 16.0 like 15.9 or 15.8, then i broke out. this is called bracket racing, when you have your dial in.
