Bose Radio not working after disconnecting battery? Not a fuse problem

Is there any reason why a Bose head unit in a 2001 SE would stop working after disconnecting the battery?

I've checked every fuse in the interior fuse panel and engine compartment fuse panel, none are blown.

When reconnecting the terminal, I did notice that the circumference of the clamp that tightens onto the battery post was too large, so even when the bolt was tightened that it was a bit loose. While I was fiddling with this loose connection, I could hear arcing of electricity. I removed it from the post, pinched it a bit and put it back on for an easy fix.

Everything else in the car works, just the radio wont turn on. Interestingly, when I got back in the car after reconnecting the battery the radio had ejected the CD (I don't remember if this is normal or not)

I removed the radio to see if it had a fuse on the back like some aftermarket units, but it does not. I reconnected all the connectors and all the connections should be fine.

Any ideas?

The stock HU will eject a CD after the battery is unplugged, FYI. As for the HU not working and all fuses are, I have no idea. Maybe the HU **** the bed. are you sure. all fuses are good?

Just double checked all the fuses, and even swapped out the radio fuse with another and still nothing

Check everything and narrow down what does and does not work. Does it seem like the radio is not getting any power at all? Not lit, won't accept CDs? Does the clock work? Does the horn work?

You said you checked all the fuses in the car and the ones under the hood, did you check the fuse connected to the + battery terminal? Since you removed it and heard arcing when you touched the terminal to the battery that may be the culprit.

there is also a fuse for the bose amp. basically just an amp turn on wire but that would only be the case if the radio turned on but had no sound.... Just throwinf it out there.
