I have a 98 i30 that came with heated seats. The seats are dirty and torn.
If I come by a pair of seats (maxima / i30) that are not heated, will i still be able to use my heated option? If so, how would one go about swapping them?

I guess my question is can i buy non heated seats and make them heated?

The only way to do that would be to transfer the heating element to the non heated seat. This requires complete removal & re installation of the seat cover. Lots of work, but it is doable. I suppose you could source some aftermarket elements, but you would still have to install them under the coverings.
