Auto folding mirror question...

Do any of the models have power folding side view mirrors? I looked on the Nissan site and only found "manual" on all the options I tried...

Thanks!
J

negative ... gotta reach out and pull them in yourself ... however they do tilt down in reverse (if so equipped) :P

No. Nissan removed that option, as well as the dual auto-dimming mirrors for one, for 2009.

I wonder why they remove options from one year to the next? I liked that feature.

The '09 Maxima is a different model with completely redesigned side mirror assemblies. The design team had to prioritize what could be offered and to lose that particular option means it was down on the list.

Fair enough but it seems like a pretty standard option especially for a "flagship"...

Oh well, I love my mirrors regardless whether they fold in automatically or not!

Um, not so sure about the auto-dimming being removed. I could swear that mine dim when the lights are too bright behind me. I noticed that right away at night. I'll look again, but I'm pretty sure they dim.

Yeah my drivers side says "auto dim" in the top right corner (still need to hook that part up though!)

im doing the same thing to my 3rd gen and of course these power fold mirrors weren't offered for the 3rd gen as well. so what i did is went out and looked for something very similar to the 3rd gen mirrors and came across the JDM S13 mirrors. got them with the wires and switch for about $150 shipped. all i did was just swap the internals into my 3rd gen housings and it bolted right into it without making custom brackets. everything lined up but now i have to finish wiring them up and i will have the power fold feature. i think the closest for you would be the 350Z mirrors. i could have sworn that i saw someone on here swap over the powerfold mirrors from a 350Z to the 6th gen??? i may be wrong but i think i did read this some where. not sure if it was here or at nissanforums.com

edit: nevermind, didn't know you were just trying to find info only for the 7th gen.

That's the 3rd spam message I deleted today. At least he can't post "NEW" threads.

I've flagged him to an ADMIN for account banning/removal. I don't "think" I have that kind of access.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Thanks Antny74. That is strange because alot of Jdm mirrors come standard with folding mirrors, for vehicles that do not have them in the U.S. My 08 has it and I love it!!

I miss the folding mirrors from the 04. I still park and by habit go to push the button to fold them in the new one. If we could find a way to ri this up i would do it.
