I have a 89 GXE;
While replacing an open fuel injector I have a question. I removed the IACV-ACC Valve and I have a big O-Ring not a gasket? The write-ups I have read and parts diagrams show a gasket mine does not have a gasket. Can I just put this back on with existing O-ring?
also can I use Permatex high temp gasket maker instead of gasket on outer throtle body?

 

you just split the IACV in half; you didn't fully remove the iacv. to fully remove it, you would be taking out the allen bolts, not the phillips screws. therefore you never exposed the gasket.

 

No, I took out the allen bolts not the phillips screws but I think it did slpit in half appone further review in the daylight.

 

well yea, there's actually 3 pieces. the gasket goes where i have a black spacer in this pic (that's part of the spacer set mrkanda's talking about in the "GI: VG Spacers" thread in case you were wondering)
