Can this '91 be saved?? (pics)

Oh boy. Coming home today I saw a poor '91 parked in front of the pizza joint. I felt kinda bad for it so I took some pics. I ended up talking to the owner (works @ the pizza place) who assured me that the car was gonna get some love... but I'm a little worried that he's just gonna do more of the same to it. I mean hell it's a VG powered 5 speed with some light engine mods.. it oughtta get a respectful treatment... and, I think, a new paint job.

Here it is:

Some people like to be different

That hood scoop is ugly though... rims and paint isn't too bad...

I think that hood pins are tacky.

Least it isn't in a yard waiting to be crushed.

Take the hood scoops, hood pins, lettering on hood all off and it wouldn't be too bad.

so far, nobody has mentioned the chrome grille on an SE.... hold him down, threaten to shoot him (more convincing if you have a gun) if he doesn't sign the car over to you, and rip that (and the spoiler) off the damn car. The rest, you can work around for a few days, while you find out how to respray it.

it's kinda funny how he tries so hard to make his car look good, and his headlights are foggier than a sheet of snow.

Personally I never understood the need to paint certain parts of a car wildly different colors, especailly on the interior, but to each their own...

For short money I would attempt to bring it back from ricer hell...
