Also, there is not ONE screw to hold the box together- only Tightbond and an air-nailer just to hold it together until the glue dries...

I just hope it fits legth-wise. It is right at 40" long, which is the longest I measured to fit in the trunk. Getting it through the trunk-lid opening is going to be fun.

yeah but you could just wire the subs to whatever configuration inside the box. it's cheaper than getting 4 cups. it'll look cleaner too without all the bridge wires connecting the 4 cups.

but it's still a good box non-the-less.

painted? looks loud.

Yeh I would have done 1 cup as well. Are you planning on changing the total ohm load??? Do you change amps that often??

I just like having options - I may want to use the box for something else one day

I may - who here who is really into audio keeps their system the same for very long?

I don't know, I already had the cups, so cost was of no concern. It can't hurt to have them all in there, you can't see any of my wires anyway so looks doesn't bother me, and flexibility is always a good thing

I got it put in today - let me tell you - 1 big port is REALLY alot better than 2 little ones. I am very pleased with the way this turned out.

And yes, the box fit

Anyway; like I said, I may want to use to box for something else one day, and I already had the speaker cups - so no extra cost to me. You can't see them anyway, as they are facing the front of my Maxima...

My new one is 39 * 14 * 16, and it fits fine. I can even put it in there straight and not have to slide the box in sideways..

The springs for the deck lid have to be bent up a little though...

I also realize that I forgot one important thing, and that was to put something over the port to keep the stuffing in That **** is blowing all around my trunk now so I guess I am going to have to tear back into the box...
