Getting ready to do front brakes

Is there anything special about changing pads on my 07?Heres the way Ive done brakes on other cars:

Remove brake res. cap
remove caliper bolt(just botom one and then swing up the caliper)
Use "C" clamp to compress the caliper
Remove old pads and install new ones
Tighten bolts
Top of fluid return cap
Then hit pedal to pressurize the system

Will my method work OK with the Max's?This is my first time doing brakes on this car.Any help or input would be appreciated.

i dont think you can use a clamp like you used to be able to on the older cars...

i think you have to have a tool that twists and presses the piston back in place.

i know you have to do it on a lot of the new cars, but i could be wrong

Just for future search purposes for anyone wanting/needing to this its super easy.I spent about 30 minutes doing the front.Just make sure you have a "C" clamp or some sort of caliper compressor. This is a job anyone with tools and a jack can do...very easily!!

All I have to say is when you're done with changing your front pads, do not forget bed-in process otherwise your steering wheel will vibrate like biatch and grinding noise for bonus.

Remove and clean the caliper sliding pins with a cloth, and then lubricate them with adequate brake lube, otherwise it will ruin the rubber seals (and force you to buy new ones like me, previous owner went to a shop where they put the pins wrong, with wrong lube)

Use only enough to slightly lube, then insert it back without the boot, take it out, remove the excess grease, and try it again. It should glide smoothly. Here you go.

I think ill lube mine every 6 month (tire change).

I heard that wrong lube on sliding pins cause brake pads clapping noise, however I could have heard wrong.

you can compress the caliper with a nice sized screwdriver and leverage.

A clamp or any type of compression will work on the front brakes.

The tool you speak of is for rear disc brakes. The calipers need to be twisted with some sort of tool as they are pushed back in.

I followed...above posts instructions for pad replacement...any tricks I should know about rotor replacement?
I see there are 2 large bolts holding the caliper frame inplace. Do I have to remove this frame to replace the rotor?
