IACV and TB Torque Spec

I am getting ready to do the IACV and TB cleanup for my 95 Maxima GLE, have ordered the new gaskets for both. Searched the FSM and this board, but still could not find the torque spec for the IACV and TB. Could someone tell me what the torques are (or point out to me where I can find the spec in FSM)? I would like to use the torque wrench to the manuafecture spec as I don't have much confidence with my "tighten and feel" skill. Thanks.

Thanks. For those who cares - TB spec is as ISY specified above and the IACV torque is 15 ft-lb.

TB is EM-8, not EM-10.

IACV is EM-6, 15 ft/lbs.

Little late, that's what i get for uploading pics over a slow connection.

Indeed, each year's FSM (and probably between I30 and Maxima as well) all have different page numbers. That's why it's easier to just use the specific FSM for the MY car that the OP has.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the helps. My plan is to replace all the water hoses in addition to clean up the TB and IACV. Wish me luck.

Question of cleaning Manifold

OK, I've almost done with replacing all the water hoses, and cleaned up the IACV with the throttle body cleaner, and will do the same on both side of the TB too. In the meantime, I have a question - how do you guys clean up inside the manifold (where TB and IACV connect. I think intake manifold is what it is called). From the opening of TB and IACV, I can see a thick layer of the back greasy stuff. If I would just spray TB cleaner from the openings, wouldn't I blow all the dirty stuff into the engine?

Thanks as always.

I am about to do the same as I am replacing the valve cover gaskets. UIM is to be cleaned OFF THE CAR so that nothing goes in the engine.

So if I were you I would leave it as is until UIM is off the car.

It's only a dozen more bolts to pull the UIM off at this point, and with the IACV off, the two for the EGR guide tube should be plenty easy to get to.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did not pull the UIM; need a strong reason to overcome my lack of confidence. It will be a project for another day. What I ended up doing is stuffing some rags in the intake as far as I can still reach. Sprayed the TB cleaner well and wiped it clean, and then pulled the rags out. There is a passage behind the IACV on the lower right corner (connecting to the EGR, I think) was built up very bad with the nasty stuff. I had to spray TB cleaner very well multiple times in there in order to get it clean - I knew I probably should have left it alone as I might have flushed some of the "dirt" down into the passage. But I couldn't help it since it was right there... I am putting the coolant back in tonight and hopefully there will not be any CEL. Will report back later.
