CD changer installed, Display lights not OK

CD changer installed, Display lights not OK
Just installed a OEM CD changer on my bose,
Somehow, the display light was dimming... and eventually died.....
but when i start my car again.... the display light was OK....back on again.....
it seems like there's problem with power... seems like, after i install the changer, the head unit does get enough power and the display die...
but i'm not sure......
anybody know what;s wrong??
