Raybestos - Anyone try the top of the line Super stops or anyone try the Quiet Stops ?? How do you like them ?? Now much money did they cost ??

Bedix - Anyone try the top of the line Bendix pads ?? how much were they ?? do you like them ??

Im tossed up between the two ?? I bought pads from Raybestos today for 40 then returned them when I went online and saw the top grade Super Stops..I still dont know what to get

I had Bendix on my old max... They squealed and produced a lot of dust.. but they performed well...
Everyone says that STOCK Nissan pads are much better... they are more quiet.

I have had the Raybestos Quiet Stops for about a month now. No squealing, and a lot less dust than my old ones (which were some cheap no-names...). For just the pads alone, I think it ran up to like $55 a pair.

I installed the Quiet Stops on my 4th Gen a while back and think they are great. Low dust...not a peep out of them and since I work there I got 'em at a discount...he-he!

thats what my speedy local guy told me, they're really good and the only kind of pads that won't make noise on the maxima. they wanted $192 canadian for front adn rear pads with lifetime installation. good deal?

Don't know what is the conversion? The rears and the fronts should be about $100.00 US together...I will get the exact prices tomorrow

Stick w/ OEM brakes

Trust me on this one. I just had my front brakes redone by the dealership due to abnormal front end noise caused by Raybestos Ceramic Pads installed at Pep Boys. The problem w/ all these so-called brake job places is that they can only guarantee replacement. Most of the products out there say that they are compatible w/ our cars. But without a hardware kit, you get what you pay for. That is, abnormal squeling or clanking sounds from your brakes.

I have the Bendix IQ pads and are happy with them. They don't dust any more that any other pads i have used, and dust MUCH less then the $teallan pads. As for noise, they are just as good as stock. Now the standard Bendix pads may be noisy, I don't know, but the IQ series are just fine to me.

well I put on the ceramic pads from raybestos over the weekend...cheapest price I found for the fronts was 70$. and they are like silk...the warpness was cut out of my rotors so they are like silk now...we will see how they hold up...my macanic said they will be good...

axxis metalmaster will dust like crazy. it will leave purplish dust on your wheels. they perform well. IMO the noise is indiscernible from oe pads.

too bad hawk doesnt make pads for maximas. i've owned other makes (toyotas, hondas, acuras) and i only use hawk hps pads (street compound) on those cars. a lot of other car enthusiasts swear by them!
