lols. i guess you did it half-a** previously. i did the same for my first ae-retrofit mod.

1. they are not AE modded but 9004/9007 compatible
2. they are just as good as new. i polished the lens so it looks pretty clear. there is a small amount of dust left in there that i tried to vacuum out but its stubborn. if you're going to open it to do the AE mod, a can of compressed air (computer duster) or windex would help.

i do have pictures if it would help you...

half-as5, no. stupid mistake, yes. see, when i masked the headlight housings off to be painted, the tape left sticky residue when i was done. so i think to myself, "what can i clean this sticky with? ...Alcohol!"

immediately, the cotton ball and alcohol stripped off part of the reflective material off the passenger side headlight. besides, i'm generally not satisfied with the way i masked them off, because i used really wide tape, so i didn't really get the details right. i will buy 1/2" next time!

i'll get back with you to see if i have the extra cash. zip is 37130, so it would cost you a pretty penny to ship them to me, if i had to guess...but i'm interested. i'll be in touch...

i usually use the 3m blue 1/2" masking tape. for any sticky residue - use goo-gone. it's good for almost everything.
just let me know.

shipping it to you is no problem... just let me know.
