What grill do you recommend?

I currently have a trenz grill that was somewhat damaged, but repairable, on the car now with the lower grill on a stock bumper. I just purchased a new bumper from Bodykits etc. I got the Concept front bumper due to availability and looks. I didn't want to use the current the trenz grill as it is. I was thinking about cutting the bars out and leaving the middle and putting some diamond cut mesh in the two gaps. I would like some other ideas and maybe some pics from guys who allready have this bumper put on. I will post pics of install both before and after pics for the critics later. Ohh I do like the active tuning grill but really have no idea what version they are on or where to purchase one.

Concept front bumper is amazing! I have a stock grill with that bumper.. I'll post a pic. The active tuning grill is nice. I'm thinkin about getting it too or probably paint my stock grill black. Here's the link...

thanx for the feedback, I will be taking apart the trenz grille and using the frame and center piece and putting mesh behind that and also in the other three spaces. I will post pics after it's done.

Thanks alot bro! I got the front from bodykits.org and the sides from grounddynamics.com.. I'm probably gonna be demodding it so i'll prolly be selling the bumper fairly soon. Original price is @ $350 on the site. I'll prolly let it go for anywhere from $250-$300 if you're interested..

I am trying to make the same decision, the only one that i have def counted out would have to be the billet........ since mine is black i like the stock one, painted all black except the emblem...... i'm probably going to end up murdering my whole ride out though , except the rims

Seriously man I don't think ull be dissapointed with the active tunning grille. I even got the mesh painted to match my car so the grille, mesh, and my car are all black. I love it. It makes the car look sooo mean and ppl compliment it everywhere I go.

Someone has their generations backwards. Chrome was in during the 50's-60's. Time to grow up and move into the new millennium.

The activetuning grille is pimp. I love mine. See my sig.

I agree bro - have to go with the mesh man..

Bad thing is that the AT grill is hell expensive and stock is sometimes limited - best bet would be going with the one available on ebay - looks clean and price is like half of the AT one

how much did the Stillen grill cost you (did you have to make any mods or was it a direct bolt on) ?

Hello, I am new here posting. I have a 05 SL MAX that I would like to change the look. I was looking to grilles, but AT is way too expensive. On ebay there is the C-Mod which I like, but there is another one from about $60 from Aero_kits. Do somebody have input about it or these people?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05...Q5fAccessories

Match your front grille to your wheels. They will compliment each other, draws the eye to them. I would also recommend matching the chrome-like strip that runs along the side the windshield back to the rear window to the wheels and grille, even if that means painting them black.

There are alot of pictures on this forum, but notice how these three items either dress up the car, or dress it down.

Kind of like matching your belt to your pants.

Trenz Grille Difficult to find now though....Ny emblem is from Nissan Japan and is from a rear (trunk).

BTW - Hey Deus, is that a circular indent in the bottom middle of your grille or is there something reflecting from behind? Or just an old picture?

I went with the E&G Fine Mesh

If you want a sportier look I'd go for the AT S4.1.

I got the same grille installed last week! I love it. The only thing I don't like is the bar down the middle. So I took a Dremel tool to it and but it off at the top and bottom, and now it is CLEAN! SUPER easy to cut and file down. I do like it either way though. Classy look.

At the moment, rolling stock. That's all I can afford. I'm leaning toward the Stillen one.

We're got some good discounts on our billet and mesh APS grills. They're a great equilibrium between affordability and quality.

So, I said I'd roll stock until I got some money. Belated bday gift equals street scene grill. Will post pics once I put it on, yay!

You're absolutely right, bro. These wire mesh grills are best suited for the soap box derby and chicken coops.
