Cone Filter Question

I want to get the adapter so that i can put on a K&N cone air filter in place of my stock airbox. Everything will go smoothly, except for the fact that there is a sensor that goes into the stock airbox, some sort of wire with a sensor on the end. It fits perfectly into the hole in the airbox, but where would it go with a cone filter? I appreciate any response!

Peace

Are you talking about the MAF? and sensor? Is it in the box or is it a round cylinder shaped unit with a black box built on the top of it with the pink/purolke sticker on the side? As seen in the photo here? If so, your intake adapter attaches to this device, your car wont run with out it. If its in the actual box...good luck and god speed

guit..dont remove the MAF, its not a honda b/c hondas have direct intake where most other cars have regulated air flow meters. There is also another sensor, total of three on the intake. there is one on the bottom tubing that feels the temperature of air..blah blah bhal..

I think the sensor in the airbox is the air temperature sensor, which I think is only on the 95-96 models.
I would say just leave it hanging beside the filter, or put it on a little bracket.

I just ziptied mine right next to the filter. It will get dirty and covered in dust so you will need to clean it occasionally. But it keeps the check engine light off, which is good.

Its the air temp sensor. Just stick it in the cone of the sensor or take some tape and stick it some where next to the filter

Is it just me, or does this site not load?

as an explanation, I'm talking about the sensor that goes into the rear of the airbox, attached by two screws. Does that clear anything up? I wish I had a damn digital camera! ho, ho, ho, maybe...

Peace
