I finally got to tinting my taillights. I am thinking of debadging but the lettering has been on a few years, worried about paint difference.

Nah, leave the tints the way they are. I definately debadge the trunk. I got rid of everything except for the Burger. After you remove it, use clay bar and there shouldnt be any film/residue leftover.

Debadge all, and polish and wax. A nice spoiler back there would give it a more sporty look. Either the 07 Maxima spoiler, the G35 sedan spoiler, or a WRX spoiler.

Looks good, i would definately cut out the portion for the reverse lights though. You dont want to be backing up and God forbid, hit someone or something and the say they didnt see you backing up because the lights are tinted.

Dont cut the tint on the reverse lights, It will end up looking like nipples on breasts, as appealing as that is you dont want your taillights looking like that. As far as debaging goes I dont think there should be a significant diffrence, So if you want to debadge get some goo gone and get to work.

Thanks for the input. I have read a few forums on debadging and will git er dun. As for the tint is was a spray tint. Im quite impressed with it. Thinkin of using it to tint out the orange in the headlights.

Looks good. Nothing looks as good as a clean Black Max.

A functional question tho- how is it backing up at night with the window tint AND the tint over the reverse lights? I have a hard enough time with just the window tint.

Backing up isnt to bad, i back up with my side mirrors, if it gets really dark i will just put down the windows. I was thinking of picking up some LED reverse lights though.

If u use a blow dryer, which I did, then it doesnt really matter how warm it is. I took my badges off in December

Wrong....silver or white maxima with matching tint look better than any other maxima.
