Are these good quotes for a new max

maxima s: 25500
maxima sv(no other pkg):27178
Can I get a SV+Bluetooth+cold pkg+xenon without any of the sports/tech/premium pkg?
I am dealing with Mcgrath Nissan in Elgin,IL-Anyone deal with them???
The sales guy that these are best prices that I could get.
Anyone recently got a new max? what were the prices. I did go through the"how much did you pay" thread but those prices were from earlier in the year. The sales guy was telling me that the prices have gone up by a 1000 since the cars were first introduced. Is that true?
All your help will be appreciated.
Thank you
Rick

1. go online to all the other dealers in the area. Find the car you want.
2. Call all the dealers and tell them you are going to be buying this car from a dealership today. You are calling all of them. What is their best price. They win, you buy today.
3. After getting all the prices, start haggling one vs the other.
4. You win!

I doubt if the figure 1000 is true. However, when I first got my 09 Maxima in August 2008 (within the first week of its launch), the MSRP was $36280. When I configure the exact same Maxima in NissanUSA.com, the MSRP comes to $36310 i.e. a $30 increase. So prices might have increased but not sure about $1000.

There was an $800 increase in MSRP for the Maxima in the middle of last October. That is why I looked only at Maximas built before that MSRP increase when I bought mine the first week of January. Mine was built the first week of October. The exact same car built a few weeks later lists for $800 more on the window sticker.

Rick - Your quotes are good. Those are about the same prices the larger Atlanta area dealers are asking for those vehicles. A few folks here have been at the right place at the right time and worked out a little better deal, but others here have not been able to do as well as those quotes. Dealers in some areas of the country are giving slightly better quotes than dealers in other areas. Also, time of month, dealers trying to meet quotas, Nissan dealer incentives, etc, also enter into this.

Sorry to bring bad news, but you can only add the Cold package to the SV, not the S. Bluetooth and Xenon (HID) headlamps are available only with the Sport or Premium packages.

I think you mean that HID's are standard on the Sport & Premium packages and optional on the SV models.

GREAT catch, dauntless. MY BAD. The HIDs are indeed optional on the SV, and unavailable on the S. The only pre-requisite in adding the HIDs to the SV is that you must add the Bluetooth at the same time. Which means I also gave Rick bad info there, as well.

Turns out Rick can get exactly what he wants on an SV without having to accept either the Sport or Premium packages. He may have to special order the car to get exactly the equipment he wants, but that can be done. He might find a car equipped that way at some dealer around the country by digging thru the inventory of all Nissan dealers, but that would take some time. By ordering, he knows he is getting precisely what he wants, including exterior and interior colors.

Rick - Sorry I misled you. Good luck getting exactly what you want.
