Weird Noise When Going Over Speed Bumps or Dips In Road..?

Ok just wondering if anyone else has this problem. In my town the roads are alittle messed up in certain places and when i hit a dip in the road even the slightest one going maybe 20-25MPH there is like very loud creaking/squawking noise coming from what sounds like the shocks or something. Even going over speed bumps I hear this. Long story short the tech. at Nissan took my car for a drive and heard it to. They he took a demo max and drove it the same place and heard the same noise and said thats normal for the car. Anyone else have this issue?

It may not have done it ever since, but I feel your first thought (dealer was bull----ing you) may be correct. This car should start while sitting in 120 degree heat in Death Valley. Maybe there is something wrong that kept the car from realizing you had the tranny in neutral, or that you were pressing the brake pedal?

Let us know if it happens again.

Not of the above, it sounded like it was overflown, but it should it started with 65 temperature it took a wild and persistance i did crank it in de morning with a 40 temp with no problem... de problem was later dat evening so what de master tech said does not make sence it might of being a glitch from computer, but it concern me quite frankly.... but ever since dat day i did not have any issue..

i have the same problem but wen i have passengers/4 in the cars i cant catch the noise but when i go over speed bumps and mini road lumps alone i hear it but i guess it just the spring/strunts bc of the car being washed inside the tirewell with a power washer other then that i pay it not mined.

after 3 trips and fixes the last was the charm !!!!!!! tsb# NTB10-020 it involves rubber tubes being put on top of coil springs.sounds like a new car again,as it should.

^ great thread. I've been having this same things since the end of May after several trips to Philadelphia. I hear this knocking/creaking type noise often on coming from the front suspension going over moderate-large speed bumps, dips, potholes, and even sometimes turning the steering wheel from a stop.

Two local Nissan stealers said it was normal for the car. Only problem is, never heard of had this problem the first 7 months of having the car and it gets noticeable after driving the car for awhile and the suspension, etc warms up.

Will be going on to the third Nissan stealer now.

I tell you, its such a shame but I don't know if I would get another Nissan again. Not b/c of the vehicle but b/c of their **** poor customer service. I'm just so sick of hearing the "its normal" excuse and am getting ready to punch people in the face. I even come in with the TSB b/c I think would you had perform is what is the problem and they won't even perform the damn TSB and just give me the run around. I call and write NCA's and it does nothing, they treat you just as bad as the stealers. I wish I knew if there was a Nissan stealer somewhere in NJ or easter PA that would treat you better and with more respect.

Had the same issue with "noise" going over bumps. After several times at the dealership, they eventually replaced the rubber bushings on the struts and so far that has seemed to work.

on mine they replaced struts and bushings both sides and the noise was still there, the only fix is the tsb with the tubing on the coils.I drove the car lots after it was fixed with many speed bumps and the noise is now gone.my dealer was above and beyond even payed for a rental car on the last fix.

I noticed that same noise too over speed bumps and certain dips in my 6 month old 2010... Sounds like it was coming from the front struts. Time to take it to the dealer then I suppose.
