FS: Brand New Cattman Header & Y-Pipe System
FS: Brand New Cattman Header & Y-Pipe System
I was one of the first buyers of these beautiful setups when Brian first introduced them, and ever since then it’s been hanging (out-of-the-weather) in my barn – never got around to installing it, and it’s looking more and more like I never will. So this needs a loving home (or car) to put a big smile on someone’s face.
The price is $735 plus shipping (which I believe is about 20% less than the current list price). PM me if you have questions.

You two guys need to be talking to eachother about trading stuff! I just started going thru a bunch of really neat performance-related Maxima stuff that's doubtful if it will ever be installed, including a brand new Stillen supercharger kit with Matty's V1 plate.
My '96 Maxima (purchased new) has always been my daily driver, with eventual plans to bump it from the current BMW 540i status on up to an M5 configuration, but for several reasons that's been on hold (with no obvious light at the end of that tunnel). Over the last couple of years I've satified my "need for speed" as well as wanting grease under my fingernails with a Toyota MR2 Spyder. After 16 months up on jackstands, last spring she hit the road with a lot of serious chassis and suspension upgrades, an LSD 6-speed, and a Rotrex supercharger pumping out about 225 RWHP (in a 2100 lb. car). Over the winter that engine was replaced with another of similar displacement but able to crank out about 100 more RWHP. Strange as it may sound, my enthusiasm for bumping the Maxima up another stage or two for the rush I was seeking has now deminished.

Good grief!
That MR-2 looks great! I would usually accuse that model-year of looking a little girly, but I think you may have changed my opinion about that.
Might as well leave the passenger seat out—don't need anyone sitting next to you nagging to slow it down.
Back OT, I pmed you my zip. Get back to me whenever you get a sec.
While we're at it, wanna sell me that 2nd Recaro I talked you out of installing?

Sorry, don't want to sell the Recaro - they're a matched set of NOS Old School Recaros that I was lucky to find (just like the ones I have in my Maxima!). Plus,.....the reason it's not (yet) installed is that it makes accessing behind the driver's seat easier with that one out. Behind the driver is where I have the "brains" with an Apexi Power FC (replacing the OEM ECU), Datalogit and Wideband O2 set up to do my road testing and logging of the tune parameters, and I put the laptop on the passenger side floor for that.
Style-wise, the nose piece, eyelids, rear lip and rocker panels are the only add-ons for the body, but the car has about $5K of TRD suspension pieces, chassis bracing, wheels & tires, etc. that put the handling on par with the very best of road-going sports cars: tight, quick and nimble without shaking the fillings out of your teeth (ala the Porsche Caymen or the Lotus Exige). But with this power-to-weight ratio, it's right up there in Supercar territory.
