Wanted: HEADLIGHTS??...

Anyone have any black housed, projector headlights that would fit the 5th gen?

Found some here, http://www.k2motor.com/lhpmax00jmks.html but wondering if anyone was offering anything cheaper before I made a final decision.

Im located in Spfld, MA. ...Anyone got anythin??

Don't waste your time or money on that crap. The optics on the projector are awful, and the headlights themselves look very cheap. Either retrofit proper projectors (Mercedes/Audi/Acura) into 5.0gen halogen housings, or just get 5.5 housings and be done with it.

Thanks for the heads up... And where could I pick up the 5.5 gen housing for the headlights?

Lol, they're a bit pricey. Best bet would be to look for someone selling a used set here. Possibly on eBay, but be careful there.

Also, you're going to have to rewire your headlight harnesses for the new housings - how good are your wiring skills? It's not TERRIBLY difficult, and there definitely is a how-to out there.

I have never purchased anything from ebay, so I am a little skeptical in doing so, however if I do find a pair, maybe I will take a chance.

My wiring skills are what you might call very "basic". I have the basic knowledge to do things here and there, but have never actually rewired anything in a car before, spliced wires, etc

Do you know of anyone on the ORG in the NE area that might be able to do this? I might just have to go find a mechanic and see how much it would cost labor wise?

Also if I do not find the lights on Ebay, would Nissan have them? Dave B? I understand the price would probably be doubled however from the stelearship... Im kind of at a loss right now and one of my headlights has a very small crack in the seal which is causing condensation, what an eye soar!

If you were closer to Jersey I'd help you out. I believe there has to be at least one person in Mass that can help you out. Check the NE section.

Dave B would definitely have them, and he has the harnesses you have to buy as well.

Why not just get a halogen OEM replacement?

Was thinking about doing that as my 2nd option...Just wanted a new more modern look on my car. Thought I could achieve that with black housed headlights, considering my car is black. (I guess Im going for a "black out theme.")

And I will def. be contacting Dave B, about price, shipping, installation, and all that good stuff.

Thank you for your help. I will also be checking the NE section, for any closer members with knowledge on the subject.

If anyone view's this and has experience in wiring, etc, please contact me.

I've done the 5.0-> 5.5 gen headlight transition. It's not terrible. Do a search and you'll find the thread with wire colors.

I have a set of 5.5gen headlights that are blacked out, clear-cornered, AUDI LED'd I am going to be selling soon. If you are serious about buying, I'll put some heat in to getting them finished and out the door. Kit includes OE HIDs and 5th gen retrofit wiring harness. Price is $600 + shipping, firm, lemme know...

Hmm... not to bad but not the price I was prepared for. I am serious about buying and if you are serious about getting them finished, I will be waiting.

Would you go any lower? Perhaps 600 W/ Shipping included? Where are you located?

I am located in NJ, so shipping would be about $10, if you're serious about buying I'll eat the shipping, I've got just too much stuff in my garage and need to start clearing this crap OUT.

Shoot me with a PM and include your addy w/ e-mail so I can send you some pics. If you really want them, I'll get them done in the next two weeks (I'd do it next week, but I'm installing hardwood floor on the first floor of my house and it's taking INFINTLEY longer than anticipated )
