Is it possible to do some minor cutting to make these tail lights fit?

Is it possible to do some minor cutting to make these tail lights fit?

I have a 98 I30t, these tails are for the 97-99 Maximas. Is it possible to do some cutting around the outer tail lights spots to get the outer ones to fit in?

And for the inners, possibly swap in a maxima trunk and put back the infiniti lettering and logo, or just leave the infiniti trunk and cut the center valence and trunk to get the inners to fit?

If I am some how able to get these on with some body work, I want to paint them black (everything outside of the LED rings) and paint the rest of the center valence black, so it doesnt look ricey.

^^^

to the OP, if I recall correctly, the maxima tails are actualy "taller" then the i30 ones and as you saw in the other thread, the corner where it meets the quarter panel of the car, it doesn' have the same curve.. Maxima tails come to a point where as the i30 curves..

and why would you want to "cut" light you bought, by doing so, can you garantee even cuts for both likes? you might start getting leak issues when rainin, etc..

yes, you want to be original, I'll give you that, but at the same time you have to make sure if feasable or not..
