I have one of these, it really does shorten the shifts, A LOT. pacesetter is not ebay, and it doesn't flop around in gear. the only thing I didn't like is the shifter is still at stock height, like id like it to be smaller.

^^it doesnt shorten height as well as throw? i thought it would have been atleast an inch shorter. im the buyer for this product once i found out about the height of it. also do you know up to what percentage it is supposed to decrease throw time? Thanks.

2nd 4th and R look like you're in neutral. if that helps, id say easy over 50%
and yeah it doesn't shorten the height, I was kind of pissed until I drove it and then was happy with how short the shifts are.
and $50 is a STEAL
I got mine for like $117 I think

Consider it sold! ^^ What do you think of cutting down the shifter after or before installed? I cut my stock one so I don't think I want to go back up to original height you know?

I never thought of doing it, but I guess you could?
I didn't even no you could hack a shifter?

one thing to look out for that WILL bug you when installing is,
the bolt that goes on the bottom of the shifter where you put back on the car doesn't fit and you have to modify it(by just finding a bigger screw)
and pacesetter doesn't come with a aftermarket one so yeah.
and with hacking the shifter if you do then how do you put the **** back on? cause you would have hacked off the top part which is the part that makes it so you can screw your **** back on?

You have two options,
1. get a universal shift **** that doesnt screw on
2. rethread the shifter after its been cut. Kevlo did a write up for this.

FYI, once you cut it, it will become a bit notchy. The lower you go the notchier it becomes.

Some shift ***** come with these plastic couplets for different size shift sticks, the lower you cut it, the thicker its going to be so all you would have to do is put the couplet that would fit on the shifter and in the **** and it would act like a wedge and that works fine. Thanks for the help on the STS.
