Want to convert my A33 to manual, how can I do this?

Ok so I am really a newb with this kind of stuff but i love my car and would love it even more if it were manual.

Now, I hear that this can be done but I have no idea how it would work and what parts i would need to buy.

Would I need to move the ebrake to another location? Is that possible? Just throw some ideas at me as to how i can get this going.

THe hardest part is fabricating a center console/shifter area to support a hand brake. We have e-brakes.

All else matches up, as it would if you did a 6 speed swap on a max (clutch pedal, 6 speed axle (if i35) etc)

If you manage this, you have so got to take lots of pictures and show us all. I dont think this has ever been attempted in the history of I35s.

I think it can be done on 2000-01 I30's. Our braking system isn't electric like I35... the foot brake I think is cable operated...I have to check the FSM to make sure. I want to do this too, it would make driving it more fun!

I think electric e-brakes don't work while driving, if thats the case, our I30s don't have electric e-brakes, since it works while driving.

DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ENJOY HAVING CRUISE CONTROL!!! the i30 cruise control is powered by the transmission control module if you do this swap and want to eliminate the check engine codes you'll have to change to a 5spd ecu. if you dont care about the CEL then do the swap and leave the TCM and ECU alone.

I would definitely give up my cruise control for a 5 speed haha. I'm def gonna look into having this done now that i know its possible. So your saying that i can go ahead and relocate my ebrake?

Yea, our hand brakes aren't electric. If you do this, post up a lot of pictures and info because I want to do the same
