Max finally giving me some trouble
FYI I have searched and got some ideas but nothing was a complete match to my issues. Well it's been a long 170,000 miles and the Max has started giving me some issues. Besides the notorious leaking valve covers, i'm getting a 102 (MAF) and a 304 (KS) code. The reader is also saying heater, evap and misfire? I have a new knock sensor just have to put it in. As far as the 102 well that' the one I need help with. I've replaced the MAF, replaced all sleeves in the short ram intake setup. The only thing I hadn't messed with was the plastic adapter and cork shim or whatever you want to call it. The car starts and runs good for about 15 minutes then a chug and the light comes on. I am hearing a whistle from the intake side while driving off and on. Sounds like when you turn on a power inverter. Any ideas would be great. I just need help on where to focus my efforts thanks.
Does it consistently run okay for 15 min then start to "chug"? I mean do you park it, let it cool off, then whenever you get back in and start it it will run okay for 15 min then act up, or are you just recalling the one incident?
This has happened probably a dozen times. Usually as I'm slowing down or if I hit a large bump. If I let it sit and then start it back up it will run good for 10-15 mins then same thing. It has stalled out twice out of the dozen times it misfired. I'm going to unplug each ignition coil while its running to see if I can get lucky but it seems like the problem is intermittent. The only good thing is I've been able to recreate it several times. I'm hoping its something as simple as the maf adapter being warped over time and causing a leak. I'm going to tackle this issue when I can find the time. I also have the parasitic drain issue so I have that to deal with as well. When $%it hits the fan it sures comes all at once.

Have you tested the wiring for the MAF? You could try adding a ground, that's fixed some problems before.
Tried shaking the harness where it goes around the right side strut tower, see if the symptoms occur?
As far as 'heater, evap, and misfire' are you referring to emissions readiness monitors? As in they're set, not set, what? You weren't clear on that at all.
The MAF adapter leaking shouldn't cause a misfire, as it's all metered air (though there could be a turbulence issue, but I doubt it).
Yes 0102 and 0304, good call. Well checked the grounds and they had built up quite a bit of oil and dust. Took them out and cleaned them up good with a wire brush and some sandpaper. Wiggled the harness around while engine running and nothing. Didn't shoot the harness yet, can't find the multimeter just moved into a new house. Hooked it up with some dielectric grease just for s and g's. Also did a quick check on the coils by unplugging them while the engine was running, got the stumble on each one. Not sure how effective this is but it is quick to do and figured why not. Going to go for a test drive sometime and see if I can get the CEL again. Oh and as far as the evap, misfire bs. Well I went to the Actron website and basically it just states that I didn't drive long enough to test catlyst, evap, o2 sen, o2 htr, and egr monitors. Did drive long enough to test misfire, fuel, and com monitors. Got the p0100, and p0325, translates to 0102 and 0304 according to the faq. Hopefully the grounds were the culprit they were filthy. I'll post with findings. Thanks for the ideas.
