Smoked tail lights with Gray Lustre.....opinions

Ok, I am looking into painted my tail lights smoke color. Like the outside color of the 00-01 SE tail lights. I saw someone's black Maxima with it done and it looked sweet. Do you think it would still look good on Gray Lustre? I have included a picture, if someone could photoshop them for me, that would be great. Thanks!

Don't paint the whole light, just do the outside red portion, just like SE models have. It'd look much better...

My motto is, if it's cheaper to paint something then buying it over and new, then why not do it?

I didn't like the chrome grille on my 98 GXE, so a can of paint for 5$ fixed that, didn't like my chrome door handles, About 2$ of vinyl fixed that, couldn't be seen outside with amber front turning lights while diamond cut clears are on order from Custommaxima.com, left over roll of tint film fixed that too

I think you should tint just the part around the lights, and leave the circles as is like Euro said. It would look nicer if the car was all black to tint them all.
