Its always a good thing when FEDEX does what they are supposed to do so..i am going to try and get these on this weekend...
Wilwood 4 Piston Caliper and 12.6 Rotors and Stainless Steel Brake lines...
I am debating whether i should keep my existing Rotors from Rotor Pros or just put the new ones on... the new ones are dimpled and slotted and the old ones are cross drilled...so now my rears will be cross drilled and the fronts will be dimpled...still not sure yet..

caliper is suprisingly light...

i am going to just paint the rear ones black till i can get the rear kit...

Careful not to break your brakes, or you'll have no brakes and break your car.

yep looks like... i got mine from fastbrakes.com with rotors though....
the kit is designed to work with factory wheels..so the 20's should be no problem...

 

 

got to wait till Tues NOW..damn..brake lines were on back order will be here Tues...

 

not going to use the rotors ..PM me if you want them will post up pics of the them in the for sale section...

 

factory rotors are 12.6", the calipers will be a sweet upgrade though!

 

Good choice, I've got the same setup with RotoPros rotors.

 

I would paint them, or hit them with a couple coats of clear before installing them. I hated the "dull" black, so I painted mine and added clear coat....nice choice btw

 

I don't know why but the original paint on the wilwood fades/wears off. I need to hit it with couple of coats of black and then hit the letters with sand paper.

just put some vasoline over the letters and when the paint dries just wipe them off and they are still clean. and yea, -1 to wilwood for dull colored paint

 

cool so these will fit the rotorpros rotors..cuz that what i am running now....

 

Got the brake lines in yesterday...trying to get the install done this evening or tomorrow...

Install complete..Braking has improved...noticeably...i wont say drastic improvement, but you can tell the difference....
After first install, and test drive we heard a squeaking noise coming from both fronts, after getting up on the lift, we saw that the rotor and caliper was offabout an 1/8 of an inch... removing one of the washers on the inner bracket quickly resolved the situation without disassembling the whole thing....
took about 3 hours including the bleeding and applying two coats of black paint to the rear calipers...

had to swerve around this lady today to avoid rear ending her and still didnt think i was going to have time to stop for the light..however..with all the suspension upgrades and brake upgrade.. i was relatively impressed ..after being highly concerned for a sec...but the ABS kicked in for like half a sec..then normal hard braking resumed....

 

kit looks great! Run into any big problems?

 

after about a 1000 miles on the new calipers proud to say, no problems... extremely happy with the setup... car needs to be washed and waxed today...

 

any noise from the new setup?

 

I know this is an old thread but will the Wilwood calipers fit behind my Nismo rims because there seems to be plenty of room between the rims and the stock calipers.

any BBK will fit behind Nismos 19" rims. There is so much space there.
