I'm thinking about maybe replacing my cat, it doesn't exactly need it however it will soon anyway, my reasoning for doing it now is a gasket on the rear end of it has lost its seal due to rust / the bolts as well. My mechanic says he can try to replace the gasket however the sections of which the gasket is bolted into both on the pipe and cat are rusted as is the bolts. So he fears he may not be able to do this successfully because of the condition of the surrounding metals. I may need to either replace the cat or just the small section of the piping after the cat before the flex pipe.

So, do any of you know any current good places/prices on a cat either aftermarket or oem for a 95 max?
I've looked around on thefind.com though I'm curious to know your suggestions. Thanks!

I recommend Warpspeed, they sell the direct fit converters with flanges, gaskets and bolts for $99. Not bad in my book, also its stainless steel so no rust (hopefully). Search and you will find what you need.

 

What flex pipe? There is no flex pipe after the converter, only the section integrated into the Y immediately before.

 

well i have an oem y pipe and oem cat whichever you need. i can let the cat go for $30 + shipping ( its got 74k on it) good condition no rust from a florida car.
