After market suspension questions.

I have a question about whats the ride quality is like with drop springs and kyb gr2...i understand better handling...
I live in NYC...and the roads here are not perfect....right now I'm riding on stock, I recently had to replace the front struts...(stock struts).....I have a 2006 max..now with 33,000 miles and when i change them when the car was around 18000 miles....
Im thinking of the alternative's cause I know from reading here and talking to my mechanic that the stocker's suck. he recommended KYB AGX strut, but again..the handling will be better but all together a rough ride. I already did agx on my 96 max...it was ok, but rough....
I do want to do springs and struts...cause I know soon the stock ones will give out....
progressive or eibachs springs? with what struts?
ride quality?
recommend I stay with stock cause I live here in NYC?

Go with Tein S-Tech lowering springs and stock structs.. Thats what I did.. You got to remember with any after market suspension you will alwayz get a stiffer ride quality.. I like the Tein S-Tech.. Had them on my 2K Max and now on my 08.. I live in Boston and we are pretty much pot hole city..

It still has comfort when it hits a pit hole but you get the stiffness bounce and rebound.. Other than that.. I would prefer lowering springs over coil overs.. I had eibach ground control coil overs on my 96 maxima and my opinion.. I would only do coil overs again if I lived in an area with flat, smooth roads.. Some where down south or out west..
