Just installed CAI- Do I need to do idle relearn?

Alright, so I just put on my brand new injen cai and it is fantastic. I love how I can actually hear the engine and man does it sound bad a$$. The difference it makes was noticable immediately.

Im just wondering do I need to do idle relearn procedure? Im not getting any CEL or anything. But it seems like the idle might be a little higher than before the cai was installed.

Was the battery connected when you installed it? Resetting the ECU might help.

I usually do an ECU reset and idle relearn after I put on any mod to the power train. Can't hurt.

I can't say for sure that I've felt a difference it could be a mind thing. But I do disconn the batt for most upgrades. But everyone who's ridden with me, before and after, have noticed a difference from the passenger seat. It changes something.

ya i left the battery connected when I hooked it up. I did some testing on the 1/4 mile and it hasnt made the car any faster... it just sounds way better. Im going to ecu reset and idle relearn after that to see if it helps anything. couldnt hurt right?
