Silverstar headlight bulbs problem or a normal electical issue that happens with age?

I have a 2000 maxima se and for the past 2 years I have been using silverstars. A month ago I have a issue where the light is not working then it magically starts working again after I buy a new bulb(before I replace) . A few days later its out again so I replace the bulb and its still not working.

I troubleshoot and determine that no juice is coming into the middle plug, plus it looks burnt. At this point I have no choice but to cut the rubber off the connector and open it and find that wire is burnt I was able to splice it back together using the existing connector and it worked. Yesterday wife tells me that it is not working I look at it and I can see new burn damage on the plug and when I unplug it the connector pretty much comes out.

I plan to replace plug (with the 3 inches of wire ) and splice it back into the harness. Is there a problem with using aftermarket bulbs in this car or is it just a normal electrical issue that can happen on any car that is several yeas old ?

Sounds like you either significantly exceeded wattage of the stock bulbs or the connector went bad. In any case the burn was most likely caused by bad contact in the connector which generated a lot of heat which melted plastic of the connector. I'd replace the connector if it is possible as they usually don't hold long after the first incident.
