Smoked headlights.. what do you think?

I'm debating painting the emblem and grill trim black since I've blacked everything else out.. any suggestions? I'm looking to get a c-mod grill within a few weeks.

Either this mod, Activetuning grille, or StreetScene grille and powdercoat it.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Im waiting to get this for my license plate:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1zIG...layer_embedded

And I just blacked out my grill and emblem. I'll post pictures soon.. its lookin awesome so far. I'm definitely going to get the c-mod grill and gutter-mod it.

Oh, and its a tint that I got on ebay. The first set I got, I tried to install myself and WOW was that a disaster.. But I got the Light Smoke the first time and realized I definitely needed the Dark Smoke, so in the end I'm glad I ended up trying both. The tint was like 25 bucks on ebay and I payed a local tint-shop 20 bucks per light to install. I do not recommend anyone trying to install this stuff yourself because it is ridiculously hard to install unless you've done a lot of work in this area. The tint has to stretch like 30% too or something like that.

Here's the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...6878&viewitem=

I didn't have them install the fog light circles because I already lost enough functionality of my headlights and I wanted to at least keep the fogs normal for now. When I picked up my car I couldnt even tell if they did the fogs or not, so I figured if I can't notice, then noone else will either.

The headlights emit about 70% of the light now, and I have stock halogens. Im waiting for my HIDS from hidextra.com to arrive and I will let you guys know how they go.

Unless it's black!

Jk..

plus my calipers are red and my wheels aren't all black. If you look at the details in my rims you can see that they aren't just merely blacked out. IMHO Bruno's black max is too black. I've made sure that I haven't crossed the line between classy and ghetto. Turns heads everywhere I go. Tons of compliments.

HID's have nothing to do with it.

A friend of mine got rear ended not too long ago, he had tinted tails. The other driver sued for injuries and won BIG because the police report showed he had tinted taillights and the accident may have been avoidable.

I can only guess it would be the same in your case.

It's your car, do as you wish.

Wow, well thanks for the advice! Crazy..

I heard that the requirement at least in my area is that your taillights have to be able to be seen from 300 feet away. Im sure there's a similar requirement for the headlights that I should be able to meet after I get my HIDS installed(which came in the mail today )

Plus if I rearend someone its my fault whatever happens so my headlights should affect it if I rearend someone(which is highly unlikely anyway)

Not trying to start anything but as long as you are within the laws of your state you should be fine. In Hawaii as well as Washington as long as you are able to see the tail lights at 1000 yards at night you are fine no matter what tint you have. can look as black as night as long as the illumination is visible from the distance given by your states law. Allready checked into it. Plus some cars come stock with a slight tint to the tails. Not to mention there is a third brake light that will allmost allways be brighter than your two tails unless your tint it rediculous. As for the headlights, I am not sure, check your state laws.

if the car looks good enough the tickets worth it. as for smoking out everything, you've already done so much you might as well do the last little details.

looks good. too bad theres nothing you can do about that front license plate. it looks like a real eye sore. does california state law say you have to have it on both front and back? if not take it off.

Alright, I just took off my license plate and I have it on my dashboard now. If any cops give me trouble its only a fix-it ticket and I'll keep a screwdriver and screws in the glovebox just in case. Its legal to be on the dashboard as long as its visible.

dont mind the pole in the way, i just didnt feel like moving my car again
