Need advice ASAP, differnt size questions. 2002 18"

I have an 5.5 and just got some 18 Murano wheels. They have 245/40/18 with Bridgstone Potenzas RE960AS on the front and Falkens in the same size in the back. The Falkens are worn and need to be replaced, and I'm on a budget. A local guy has 2 sets of 2 forsale cheap, both with 75% tread. Heres the deal.

He has the same Potenzas in 245/45/18 and has some Conti Pro Contacts in my size, 245/40.

I would like to have all 4 same tires, but that would mean 2 are slightly different in size: 245/40 vs 245/45. I don't know much about tires, would this be a problem functionally? I know they might look different. Most staggered wheels I see have a different width, but same sidewall profile. Thanks

use the tire calculator at the top of the page (stickied for a reason) to see the small difference.

the 40 and the 45 is the profile your rims are lower profile than his they will fit. the 45 tire will be a bit thicker than the 40.
