LED lights question
LED lights question
So I changed out my interior lights and tonight I noticed that my map lights have one LED of the 7 that stays lit very dimly. The only way to turn it off is to turn off the master light switch. Now I did purchase my LEDs from two sources on eBay and the batch from one seller has this "pilot light" issue.
1) is this a real concern?
2) should I get the bulbs that turn completely off?

The interior map lights do. But they are very very dimly fainted light kinda like a glow stick but not as bright and when you turn them on they are bright. I think that it just has to do with the fact that they are getting some current to them and don't need as much power to make light like stock bulbs do so they glow.

It may be normal, but I was not comfortable with it. It is likely the design of that particular bulb
I do not see how this can be described as normal as this would slowly drain the battery.
Got my LEDS from www.autolumination.com & I can assure you when my map light / rear reading lights are off there is NO FAINT LIGHT LIT.

what he said and thats where i got my leds from also
I also got my bulbs from autolumination.com. I installed all of them and have one that has the faint glow after you turn the power off in the car. I am just going to leave it as is. I hardy think this one LED will drain the battery!
