dripping oil after water pump was replaced

I know this is a new problem, occured only after water pump was replaced. Anybody know if the water pump and oil anything are connected. I think its weird that oil leaks now and water doesnt. My question is, when they were fixing the water pump, is there anything down there that they could have messed with to make oil leak? I figured they would be completely separate. Sucks, i really just traded one leak for another

Sorta-Yes. Sorta-No

If the 4G water pump is anything like the 3G or the 300ZX (I bet it is) you would need to remove the UDP(underdrive pully) Behind this pully is your crank seal.. (you should have had them replace this $5 part since they were there.) If they replaced it, they could have done it incorrectly if they did not they might have damaged it pulling the UDP. Other then this seal I can think of no other part they would have encountered.. BUT the water dripping on it would destroy it too so you never know..
