0303 front O2 sensor cause car to run like its on 5 cylinders?

My car is currently running like its on 5 cylinders or something. I've had a check engine light for 1005 which is the EGRC solenoid valve for probably a month or so. About two weeks ago, I was driving home. The cars was driving fine and then all of a sudden it felt like it was running on 5 cylinders. I get home and turn the car off and let it sit for 45 mins. Get back in it and it drives fine. So last week I decide to check the codes to see if I had anything else in addition to the 1005. And it had the 0303 code for the front oxygen sensor. Car is still driving fine. Then yesterday, after driving for 15 or 20 mins, it starts doing it again and now it is doing it all the time consistently, even when cold. I check the codes again yesterday and got 1005 and 0303 again. I know the 1005 can cause some driveability issues, but will the 0303 front oxygen sensor cause the car to run like its on 5 cylinders? On both part throttle and wide open throttle?

Or could something else be causing the 0303 code? I don't want to replace the sensor and the issue still be there.

welcome to the org you can not post a new thread until you have 15 posts and you should spend a few using the search function and reading the stickies

as for your codes

p0100- mass airflow
p0500- vehicle speed sensor
p0325 -knock sensor
p0110 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor
p0130- Closed Loop Control (O2 sensor) right bank

all these i found here

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ere-first.html

which is on the front page of the 4th gen section 5th post down if you use pmohr's A32 CEL Decoder it will give you more detailed description about your code

and i know you will ask what do i do now? i would check to see if they are all plugged in if they are i would test them with a multi meter - you can find out how to test them by searching

as for the original poster

i dont think an O2 would do that but would get the 1005 code cleared out 1st then see what it does
