trying to break records 13.6 DEK/12.5 2k2

Well, Jaypee did.im still trying

i ran 13.6, 3 time last night @ 101 with a 2.0 60ft on street all season tires. ALL MOTOR DEK (i might have the record for street tires)

JayPee did a 12.8(in the second video) 12.6 in this video and the video of his 12.58 pass will be up later tonight or tomorrow.. I believe he holds the record(lol)
that is all, enjoy

http://www.youtube.com/burrtvdotcom1#p/u/1/45N0MWPRtg0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTIRDsxRx-s

i plan on getting headers, 3" flexsection-back, something to tune with, mild port and polish, spacers, step and tires... should get mid 12s.

IDK what jays plans are to get faster, ill let him chim in himself.. he still is stock internal 3.5 as i am stock internal 3.0.
doubt it? i do a full walk around video of idle, will lean out the afc to an almost stall out JUST so you can hear the stockness of this so called aftermarket cam everyone keeps saying he has

Nice runs. The DA must have been like -300ft for him to run 2/10 faster than he usually does

JayPee must have a factory freak, cuz dosnt add up man (3395lb race weight, N/A, trapping 108) that car must be making over 300whp (which is doubtful if n/a), but what do I know lol. Eitherway congrats to him and you too, impressive times.

the car is not full weight, not sure exactly but its missing bumper supports and interior

tires are slicks

no powersteering also

I can attest, this is a very good track, and yes, climate and locations do make a difference as far as times,

youre car is running nice aaron, congrats,

i think ima have to jump on the pullie mod, cheap, did you see any advese effect as far as alternator charge?
i think youre next mod should be tires and a afc that will give you atleast 3-5 tenths combined once tuned nicely. not sure about everything else giving you much more

Thanks for chiming in but perhaps you should know your facts before making assumptions.
1. My bumper supports are still on my car, along with strut and sway bars
race weight was 3255
2. Tires as stated previously are Hoosier DRAG RADIALS
3. You are correct on PS
Last dyno 282whp 276wtq SAE correction5
For any other questions, please feel free to ask me on my post, and not ***** up my lil brothers post! Thanks in adavnce!

(bumper supports) sorry , was going based on what chris and manny told me at the track, figured if anyone knew, they would know your mods.

drag radials = slicks pretty much, just with a couple lines, now a days they are the same material.

lol youre brother put your car on this post as well man dont think anyone is whoring anything, people are so touchy ... hella fast max, no matter what the raceweight, tires, or other mods IMO.

no.
Radials are radials and slicks are bias ply. That's kind of a big difference when it comes to traction off the line. Ive seen fwd 1.6x 60's with slicks where is DR will get yah 1.8x on a great launch.

have you seen 10 second outlaw street cars on "drag radials" not sure a 300whp car will see a diff in either choice, thats more what i was trying to say rather. but i guess if you want the pride of saying drag radials over slicks, then oh well, would challenge to see a meaningful diff. either way, lets not get off topic and truly ***** the thread.

point being,

AP's whip is running nasty, has to be a record of some kind. great guy, deserves it.

Well if you want to put the info out there don't hold back. Mickey Thompson makes a street legal drag tire which they call ET street. This is not a radial tire has wrinkle walls like slicks and made of the same compound. Hoosier also makes this style of tire also.

very good tire guys are making 8sec passes on them but you will only get about 3-5k miles tops driving on the street.

nice, I am confused about the ECU, what do you mean by 17* of timing? is it an ECU for boost/nitrous?

lol my thoughts exactly. I would be satisfied with a very low 14sec pass. my difference is the SP2 catback which is smaller than 2.5".

I would love to see you run on something other than street tires. Granted you do have great 60' times on those streets.
