Ebay Knock sensor's - any good seller's out there

Hello,

I have had mixed results with ignition coils.

Bought 6 from a guy called Airflowtech - they worked for a week and crapped out - very shoddy construction - which was not apparent when new - but the heat of the engine sure made the flaws obvious.

Bought another 6 from a guy on ebay called golf6daysaweek - must say, much better experience. Very good coils - truly OE.

Now, I am seeing a price range of 20 USD to 120 USD on ebay for the knock sensors.

Anybody has experience with which seller is good (golf6daysaweek does not have knock sensors, or I would have bought from him/her).

most people on here will probably tell you that all are decent and I would have to agree. I have $25 KS and it works great. just buy the cheapest one. it should work just fine

I haven't seen any threads or posts about anyone having problems with an eBay KS.

I paid $45 for mine on ebay, and it was OEM in sealed NISSAN packaging, so some sellers to sell OEM KS on ebay. You should be fine. Here is who I got mine from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GENUI...#ht_6048wt_923

When the knock sensor is out, the ecu goes into safe mode. The car will run "fine", but you will have alot less power. The KS is a ghost code, it doesnt trigger the CEL.

Yes,

I have ordered one from Deutschepartsusa (ebay seller).

-- to the poster who indicated that KS would not trip CEL - That is correct, I don't have a CEL. However, the smog place indicates I am having timing issues (KS will retard timing), and therefore, I am trying to see if replacing KS fixes the timing.

Thanks,

I thought it would trigger CEL. when i checked my CEL it had a few codes.

1-knock sensor
2-crankshaft position sensor
3-idle air control valve (Fixed)

Does anyone have a pic of where the KS is at? i want to change it but have no clue where it is at.

yes I am serious, but many have done it w/o pulling the intake manifold.
I will be pulling the lower intake when I do mine shortly since the upper is coming off to do an injector and I am half way in there anyhow.

I recently bought a ks for my 97 Maxima SE on eBay for $22 shipped. Just installed it today. Have the cuts and scrapes to prove it. Here's who I bought it from:

chandlermotorsportsinc

No problems. Looks identical to the oem I removed. Cheers
