FS: V2 Supercharger Kit with Matty's V1 Conversion
FS: V2 Supercharger Kit with Matty's V1 Conversion
I had this kit up for sale when I was parting out my Maxima this spring, but it never sold. It sat on the car all summer until I took the car out this fall.
The belt was off by one rib when I last adjusted it, and I left it like that, as I thought it would clear everything. It ended up rubbing off one of the 10mm bolts holding the plate on next to the pulley, and the belt shredded.
I decided to remove the kit, as the Max is now my winter car, so I'd like to sell this. I removed the kit in October, but for simplicity I left the Matty's V1 plate on my car, as it's holding the alternator & such in the right location.
I plan on removing the plate and installing the stock brackets when I get a chance, if I had someone interested in the kit it could be done this weekend.
The kit is in really good shape, it's all original piping & such, it was the Stillen Kit. I bought it from the original owner, info is all below in the FS ad. The only thing the kit needs is a quick spray on the plate, which I will do, as the paint has started to come off while it was stored. It may also need a belt, depending on what pulley you go with. I have some belts, but I'm not sure which pulleys they are for, I will include these with the sale.
I also have a few spare parts for the kit. I believe that I have the parts to convert from the 5th Gen intake piping to the 4th Gen intake pancake, as well as some other spares, I'll get all the info and pics if anyone is interested.
This is a pic of the kit from this fall before I removed it.

It was first on my Auto Merlot Maxima from May - July 08, then I installed it on my Black Maxima from July 08 - October 08. The car was stored last winter at my house with the kit, then I parted out all my mods this spring.

Hi, do you ran the kit without an intercooler? Is it included in the kit??
Might be interested soon... Can you also identify which pulley size determines what boost level??

how much were you sitting on with this kit as far as power?? getting started on a VQ35 swap into 4th gen. would be nice to have some type of forced induction. Think kit will work well with that kind of swap setup, and fabs needed??
There's no intercooler, the boost drop across the intercooler can't be made up like a turbo when it should go to the level set on a boost controller, it's lost and you run less boost.
Basically a turbo set at 12 psi will put out 12 psi, even with an intercooler.
A supercharger putting out 12 psi will only make maybe 10 psi (rough guess) with a fmic. You get cooler air, but at that boost level it's not really worth it.
The pulley I believe is a 3.1".
I'll make a guess at the boost levels for each pulley, as I haven't looked it up in a while.
The original pulley was a 3.6" at maybe 7-8 psi, you can get a 3.33 for 9-10 psi, the 3.1 is more like 11 psi, I think I used to see close on 12psi on the boost gauge at times, and you can get a 2.87" pulley for a little more boost, maybe 12-13 psi. That's the lowest that people go without overspinning the blower.
I never had the car on the dyno, but similar setups were in the 325-350 range I think. Guys use these with the 3.5L, but it's not a bolt on affair, there are some mods that have to be done, and I honestly don't know what they are, I'm sure you can find the info here on the forum.
Any more questions, feel free to ask.
