I own the world's most jealous Maxima

About 18 months ago when I got a new car, the very next day my otherwise trusty 95 Maxima's transmission died on me on a freeway onramp. Since she realized that I still love her, she's calmed down with no problems.

But now that she knows another car is on it's way, she is starting to act up again which coincidentally started right after I ordered the other car. I had to replace a CV boot already and now I have two new symptoms:

1. She overheated on me the other day. I immediately pulled over and found the radiator empty. Since then I've been looking underneath, but I don't see anything leaking out, but the radiator fluid seems to gradually disappear. Any suggestions?

2. Load creaking/groaning noise from the front driver's side going over bumps. Seems to disappear on the freeway and after she's warmed up.

I'm terrified of what she's going to do once she sees another car parked next to her.

I couldn't tell with the dipstick. Is there something I should be looking for?

If it is white, then what would the problem be?

TIA

I got a 2009 Cayman S with PDK.

CRAP! As I write this, my spouse is stuck in the rain with a flat tire on the Maxima. The nightmare continues.

If the oil looks milky-ish then your head gasket is leaking which could be where your antifreeze is going..

Enjoy the Porsche!

It's either leaking or it's burning it. Coolant doesn't just go away on holiday

If it's burning it, then you've either got a blown head gasket or cracked head.

Heh. Normally she is driving my IS F or her SLK, so I wouldn't say she's jealous in any way. In her defense, she understands my devotion to the Maxima. But, I have to say that I've gotten flack from all my friends and several relatives for keeping the Max. They don't understand how strong first loves can be though. Truth be told, even after buying the IS F, I find that I put on as many miles on the Maxima as I do the Lexus. There's something to be said about feeling so comfortable with a car, that the miles go by quickly.

My max's also love each other...they get along quite well. They often get jealous of my Solara though lol.

You might have a pressure leak in the rad or rad hoses somewhere that you won't notice since it'll only leak under pressure.
