Ran the 95 Auto Maxima 1/4.

Well we went up to Houston RaceWay to watch Racing but when i got their the tranny was acting up and slipping so i thought this is a perfect place to break it and tear on it.

The car feels pretty dam fast for a big car. i run my 94 5.0 Mustang their but this my Daily and tranny and engine had over 277,000 miles and tranny was pissing me off!

16 inch omegi Racing rims,All my Tools,2 Spare tires in trunk. Race Weight was 3480.

I ran it 4times each time doing a massive burnout hoping for the tranny to go. but it didn't it got us home and next day ran half the day and now doesn't move but 5mph.

R/T... .532

1/8' 11.253
MPH' 66.54
1000' 14.476
1/4 17.223
MPH 81.33

1/8..10.851
MPH...67.33
1000...14.026
1/4....16.737
MPH...82.54

I Can't fine the other 2 sheets of times but ya, this was with alot of stuff in car and slipping automatic. engine is stock with Ram air intake.

When i ran the 17 thats when i reved it to 3500RPM and slammed it into Drive on take off and sat their spinning. bad launch. it ran best time when i just floored it and let car shift on its own in D.

Bad runs i thoght. i was expecting at least mid 15's but all that weight and slipping tranny didn't help. The only thing that matters to me is that i had Fun!

So you were doing neutral drops?? lol With a better launch you could have run a 15.8.

No, I did One Neutral Drop and thats when i Ran a 17 because tires were Not Sticking. And I Highly Doubt this car will see below mid 16's untill the Tranny is replaced.

I know its slow but i only did it to have a fun night and try n waste the tranny before i pulled it. i posted it up here just to show you guys what another Maxima ran with problems.

Yeah as long as you had fun thats all that matters. If you could get your 60 foot time down to a 2.1 you'd get a high 15 second run. The slipping tranny would slow you down some but Im sure you'd get close. My girls car ran her best time on a slipping tranny and 2 bad wheel bearings. What does your mustang run?

****, I tried so hard to get at LEAST into high 15's but couldn't. I blame it on the extra weight i had in trunk and slipping tranny. race weight was 3480 i had 2 rims in trunk and all my tools which are heavy.

My Mustang Runs Low 13's on Street Tires But I haven't ran it in over half a year cause Its Time For Drag Radials or ET Street Radials And then i think i can cut a chunk out of that 1/4 time. But Times Are Hard Lately and haven't had time nor money to get that car racing again. Its hard to launch it has 245/45/17 tires that suck.

Yep, Everytime i line up with a newer model mustang i leave them bad from the line but then they hang a car behind me. My Launch's Really Good cause the way i do it i slip my clutch instead of these other people that pop the clutch at a high RPM. Its a task to get it down but is fun once you take off with out any peeling out.

When i get my Drag Radials ill pop that clutch at 3000RPM but with street tires no way.
