what is this part (steering rack)

hey guys, my suspension has been sounding like crap, and the car is all over the road. this part is very loose and i want to buy a new one. but i dont know what its called.

its what connects the steering rack to the hub.

check your rack and pinion bushings too. i had the same issue with my car being all over the road but after i replaced that problem was fixed

Where did you look to check them? I suspect mine are wearing...and how hard were they to replace?

i turned the steering wheel while my freind was under the car looking.

i never did it before, but it shouldnt be to hard.

make sure to have an alignment done after you replace the tie rods. you should notice a big improvement

what do you mean it's all over the road? mine kinda sways from the back and feels a slip while driving on the freeway
