How long do I have left?

About a month ago, my clutch started slipping across the power band at wide open throttle. It hasn't gotten much noticeably worse, but it's been over a month probably more than 150 miles. It still holds its torque just fine up the really steep hills but wide open throttle even in the lower RPMs now it slips.

The slipping involves the engine RPMs flaring up and then it will suddenly catch at the RPMs you started at and it will grab and fly forward, Ive still won a few races even with the problem.

I'm putting an exedy stage 1 in it but it was back ordered so it doesn't ship out till tomorrow. Will she last another couple weeks? I haven't been driving it hard other than the aforementioned races that I couldn't resist, been really careful with slipping the clutch when I'm starting off from a stop

I want to really badly but I don't have the money for a lightweight flywheel, even a used one. Hopefully over the summer I'll be able to save enough for a lightweight and that I'll have to do myself. I'm not doing the labor on the clutch I'm getting it done for 15 bucks by the student automotive lab at the community college I'm attending. I myself am going for automotive its my second semester so I'm not in the senior lab and I don't have a place to do a clutch job I live in an apartment complex. I had to use my friends garage and compressor to do my front suspension kit and struts, brakes, etc. His parents are getting pissed about it so I'm not gonna push it and try to do my clutch there.

you better take a really good look while your student is in there. If there is a leak someplace and he just replaces the clutch with out fixing the leak... well in a month or two you will be right back to where you are now, but with another ruined clutch.

Yeah I'm planning on participating in the clutch job on my days off from school/work, as long as I'm on good terms with the senior lab instructor they wont mind.

your slipping the clutch, so your "warpping" your flywheel. sand it down or better yet, get it resurfaced.

Well its getting its wheel bearings and inner tie rod ends done too, that's the only stuff I couldn't do myself. Well, wheel bearings I can't do because its a press operation, the inner tie rod ends I'm making them do them cause my friend told me they are a ***** to do.

Senior lab is kinda slow so I expect it to be in there for a week or so. And yes resurfacing the flywheel is part of the procedure I'm sure they'll do that.

Well aware of this, I'm the one that did the outer tie rod ends. Senior lab has a really nice alignment machine.
