Snow Fail v.2010

So a few weeks ago my girl crashed her 3.5 swapped max into a sentra. She slid through a light and spinned out onto a curb. Then today a snowplow decided to plow my parked max and ^&*# up my hood and fender. Nice huh?

My girls max

Good lord.

Anyway, AJ, sorry to hear about the cars. Are either of them a complete loss?

No we're not parting them out. We'll either swap everything from my girls car to another car with a good body or just replace the parts ourselves. I had already planned on getting a carbon fiber hood and new paint for my car so this kinda worked out since I wont have to pay for it now.

With the damage on the rear quarter, thats almost impossible to fix without cutting out that section and welding in a new section...AKA more then that car is worth.

Buy another Max, shell would be best, and just swap it all over, part the remaining of the Gold Max and possibly Profit

Good luck.

Sorry to hear about the cars, glad to hear yours will be taken care of by them. Good luck with both of them.

That is some bad luck. The good thing is that the insurance will pay.

Just a little update. I got estimates for my car (the green one) and it came out to $3900. I sent the estimates to the subcontractors that hit it and they will be sending me a check soon. As for my girls car I got it running earlier this month by replacing the transmission pan and even put it on the dyno for a few pulls. Everything seemed ok with it until it died one night. I had it towed to my mechanic to check it out and he said theres a short in the ignition somewhere . We've been searching for a 97-98 max in good shape to swap everything over into but havent had any luck. I did find a fender in the junkyard and put it on there last weekend so it looks a little better than what it did. My mechanic has been busy with Z and G TT builds so he hasnt gotten to it yet but were not in to much of a hurry since I think she'd rather find another max anyway.
