Going to pick up some new tires soon for some new rims and I thinks these are the best of all high performance summer tires. They are $108 for 225/40/18s and they perform better than tires that are twice the cost. Everyone seems to like them, BMW guys run them alot it seems. I saw that some people say they stop gripping as they wear, more so than other tires but for the price, I can't complain. I drive alot, and if they last me a summer I'd be ok with that.

Anyone else have recommendation on other tires that perform this well and in this price range?

 

There are definitely stickier tires out there, but for the price I can't find anything that compares (or in that specific size, but other close sizes have other offerings, at a higher price).

 

whats the treadwear rating, good enough to track ??
