Part# 62515 (Stay Hood Lock) on my car is broken. along with this part, i also ordered a new hood latch assembly. i believe the 62515 is connecting the upper and lower radiator core supports. question is do you know how to replace this 62515 (Stay Hood Lock)? does it require removing the whole front area or can it be done an easier way.

also can someone tell me if this 62515 (Stay Hood Lock) is necessary? because my friend says i should just bolt the hood latch assembly to the upper radiator support. i dont know how the 62515 (Stay Hood Lock) really connects to the hood latch aseembly if it all?

just look at it. its either tack welded or bolted. too cold for me to go look right now. Everything can come apart its just a matter of what tools do you have and how good are you at using them.
